The Industrial Revolution without a doubt benefited British society. It showed Britain a better way to handle itself without the hard work of farming. Even though that many people did die and suffer in the sweatshops the drastic change helped shape who we are today. Without the Industrial Revolution society as we know it would not exist.

The drastic change also led to the creation of workers unions and this helped workers today get the benefits and the pay that they deserve. The workers unions established minimum wage and health, dental and life insurance as benefits.

Some say that this could have all been avoided; however, this helped the United States in the biggest way. Over eighty percent of the United States business is industry.

Companies like Clorox and Coca-Cola were first established as big business. Even Many car companies like Ford were shaped by industry. Henry Ford created the assembly line, which made it easier for the job to be done.

The results in the United States were pretty much the same as everywhere else. People moved away from subsistence farming into manufacturing jobs. Machine made products replaced hand-made ones, which lowered their cost but put the people who did hand work out of business. Giant corporations and large labor unions came into being and both have great effect on government and the economy.
