Antoine-Henri Johmini served as a staff officer with Napoleon. After he left the French army he decided to begin a career as an author of military history and strategies. In general, his goal was to create a scientific approach to the art of war. Much of this knowledge he gained form being on the military staff of Napoleon.

The Korean war ended in 1953, and US military involvement in Vietnam did not begin until 1965, although American Military Advisors and Covert Operatives had been active in Vietnam since 1954.
In regards to the military, it refers to the day on which operations begin, otherwise known as Disembarkation Day.
In 1951 when the airport was transitioned from military operations to civilian operations, the FCC did not allow city designators to begin with "W". Thus ICT was adopted.

It began when President Eisenhower sent US military units to South Vietnam in 1955. It ended when the US embassy was evacuated in April 1975.
