Since you don't ask WHAT revolution I am going to answer this about the American revolution. In 1775 the first battle between the colonists and the British happened in Concord and in 1776 the Declaration of Independence was published. The king saw it as treason and sent more troops to punish the colonies. Washington became the commander of American forces and after 4 years of war beat the British with the help of the French.
