What happened during the February Revolution of 1917 or during the first phase of the Russian Revolution?

The February Revolution was a spontaneous uprising of the people. It started after steel workers in Petrograd started to protest in street. Other workers soon joined and went on strike. The situation was made worse after bakeries in the city ran out of bread. Within days, 250 000 workers were on strike. The police shot at the crowd. However, some soldiers refused to shoot at the strikers. Faced with a crisis, Tsar Nicholas II shut down the Duma (parliament). Shortly afterwards, the army went on strike, and Nicholas had no choice but to abdicate. A provisional government was set up. In Petrograd, a Council of Workers, Peasants and Soldiers was established (also called the Petrograd Soviet). The Soviets contributed alot towards this revolution as well.

The February Revolution is a revolution against the last tsar. Since Rasputin had affair with Czarina and Russia had corrupted after WWI. The peasants started the rebellion. This rebellion was huge because it was spontaneous. Since the gap between peasants and poor was higher the peasants startred the rebellion in front of the white palace. The soldiers and guard killed many peasants, however the nationalism grew stronger and more peasants and even some elites was complaining to the tsar. And soon after later even the soldiers started rebelling. As a result, the tsar's family got assassinated.
by the way, some people even say march revolution. Because February was the Russian old calender. Russia was so old that they day was 8-9 days slower than the rest of the Europe.

The March Revolution was the uprising which forced Czar Nicholas II to abdicate the throne and allowed the Mensheviks to take control and set up a Provisional Government to rule until a permanent government could be formed.
