What happend to the Roanoke coloney is that the part of Virgina that Roanoke was in was a very stormy place and so what historians are guessing is that the people of Roanoke just drowned as they were swept off to the water, which would explain the disapearence of the remains of the people of Roanoke.

not really, they said nothing was found at Roanoke! no bodys or anything! i think that they went to crotan island! like it said carved into the tree. jhon white told they to carve a cross in a tree if any danger ocured. at he founf was the wourd, ''crotan'' carved into the tree. he tried to go see if they were there, but it was storming and th ewaves knoked his ship over repeatedly. so he GAVE UP.... not smart. they were probubky there too! taht, or they went out to see to try and find him and died....

1. The people went to live with he Croatoan Indian tribe.

2. The people were killed by the Croatoans.
