A trade corridor is a route that will make trade easier such as a passage through the mountains or a canal (panama, suez, etc.) It is really just a faster route that will take you less time to travel.
They would travel across the Aegean and Mediterranean Sea.
The mountains.

The Roman roads allowed the Legions to march where they were needed, anywhere in the Empire, and goods and products to move from place to place, allowing a free flow of commerce; they also allowed for taxes to flow into Rome itself. There was an ancient phrase, "All roads lead to Rome," because all roads radiated out from there.
Think of walking across a flat surface (plains), and then walking up a series of hills (mountains). It's easier to travel across plains because they are flat and broad.
On horse, on foot, in a wagon or pulling a handcart.

Travel by wagons through mountains would have been slower due to difficult terrain, steep inclines, narrow paths, and the need for frequent stops and detours. In contrast, travel across desert and plains would have been faster due to more open and flat terrain that allows for smoother movement and fewer obstacles.
Basically, the cardiac action potential travel across them, making it easier for the electrical impulses to move quickely.
Travel by wagon through the mountains would have been slower than travel across desert or plains due to rough and rugged terrain, steep inclines, and winding paths that required cautious navigation, as opposed to the flat and open terrain of deserts or plains that allow for smoother and faster movement. Additionally, mountainous regions often experience harsh weather conditions that can further slow down travel.
Steamboats couldn't travel the Appalachian mountains because steamboats rely on waterways for propulsion, and the Appalachian mountains are a land barrier without navigable rivers or bodies of water suitable for steamboat travel. Steamboats require a continuous water route with minimal elevation changes to operate efficiently, and the rugged terrain of the Appalachian mountains presented insurmountable obstacles for steamboat navigation. As a result, alternative modes of transportation such as trains and wagons were used to transport goods across the Appalachian mountains.
It can travel across the vacuum of space.
