Steam Engine
The invention that helped the textile industry move from homes to factories was the spinning jenny, invented by James Hargreaves in 1764. This machine allowed for multiple spindles of thread to be spun simultaneously, increasing production efficiency and making it more economically viable to have large-scale textile manufacturing in factories.
James Watt's invention was the steam engine but more improved.
Firstly, the responce given to the steam engine was not good. The industries had not started using it as soon as it was improved by James watt. But gradually the invention and its benefits came into news and the industrialists started buying the steam engines for their factories

He improved the stream engine developed by Thomas Newton
The steam engine freed factories from the water wheel, and James Watts double - acting rotative version was also used for pumping water out of mines, and powered locomotives. Factories could then be built almost anywhere, and could be closer to needed resources. Many moved closer to ports, to reduce haulage costs.

The invention of James Dewar, which is the vacuum flask or thermos, was initially patented by the German company Thermos GmbH in 1904. James Dewar himself did not patent the invention, but he is credited with its development and popularization through his work with vacuum flasks.
Though not the original inventor, James Watt is often cited as the person that developed a useful and efficient steam engine. The requirements were needed at the time of the Industrial Revolution to power the new machines in factories and for transport.
