When did the Romans invent the groma?

The Romans didn't invent the Groma. The Greeks were using it in the 4th century BCE, after which the Etruscans and then Romans obtained the technology. Although who invented it is a matter for debate, the most likely inventors are probably the Mesopotamians, the source of many revolutionary inventions including the most basic of all inventions, the wheel, the plough and the sail. They also divided time into the sexagesimal system (base-60) that we still use to this day.

Sir Isaac Newton calculus?

Isaac Newton's calculas, created in 1666, is a complicated math problem, or formula. There was a controversy over Newton's calculus when, in 1684, a German scientist maned Gottfried Leibniz published a formula of calculus. Newton raged, and claimed that he had originaly discovered calculus, which he had, and responded by publishing a partial calculus formula in 1693 and a full formula in 1704. Newton still claimed to have invented calculus, but Leibniz would not give up. Finally, Leibniz declared that he had still created calculus, and that his country's scientists would break ties with England's scientists, and eventually get revenge upon England and its scientists for not believing calculus's "rightful" creator. England eventually did get Leibniz'z declared "revenge" in World War 1 & World War 2, though not because Leibniz declared it, and certainly not for the same reasons. The conflict still raged between Newton and Leibniz, but the countries were no longer involved. Newton believed he would win the argument until the day he died.

Important facts about Isaac Newton?

His father died three months before he was born, could not sign his name, but was a wealthy farmer. He threatened to burn down his mother and subsequent step-father's house with them inside. He showed little promise in grammar school. He was described as "idle" and "inattentive". Isaac was a very small baby not expected to survive. His mother even said that Isaac was so small that he could have fit inside a quart mug. Newton was born into a farming family. He was born the same year that Galileo died

Where was gravity discovered?

Gravity is what makes things fall to the ground, or if they're already down, to stay there.Anyone who has ever dropped anything or picked something up has, in a way, discovered gravity. What Newton is accredited for, is to be the first to have a good think about WHY things fall, and how the force that makes things fall would work and interact with reality.Gravity was discovered by Isaac Newton. He didn't literally invent it but he found it out. Isaac had an apple, dropped it on the floor and wondered what had the force to pull it down. He named the pull, gravity and that's why we say that today. Isaac newton was a good man finding our pull of force but died. Isaac is still in talk today.

Why is Isaac Newton inventions important?

Isaac Newton (1809 - 1878) contributed much information to the scientific community that is still important to this date. After a trip to the Galapagos Islands, off the shore of South America, young Isaac noticed the differences of beaks on different parts of the island - and that these differences helped their survival. This, along with other evidence found such as the fossil record, helped him come up with the Theory of Evolution. Back in his day, around the time of the Civil War, people were very religious - and this theory excluded their God... so it was looked down upon. However today we are much more secular and can accept it. Just because his information is old, that doesn't make it less helpful/ truthful - so we can still use it to make vaccines and make other discoveries to this day.
