Stonewall Jackson, born Thomas Jonathan Jackson, was the son of Jonathan Jackson and Elizabeth Jackson. He had a younger sister, Elizabeth, and an older brother, Edward. In 1857, he married Elinor Junkin, but she died a year later. He later married Mary Anna Morrison in 1857, with whom he had a daughter, Julia, and a son, whom they named after him but who died shortly after birth.
