Chairwoman. This may be the feminine version of a "Chair Bodger" which was a travelling chair repairer. These people typically went to the homes of people in need of chair repairs etc.
Yes, the Roman census did count women, but they were not typically counted as individual citizens in the same way men were. Women were usually listed under their male relatives, such as fathers or husbands, and their status was often tied to the male head of the household. The primary purpose of the census was for taxation and military service, roles predominantly associated with men.
Emily Davison was born in London. She lived in a number of places, including Birmingham, Sussex and Berkshire. She had stays in prison in Manchester and London. She hid in the Parliament building overnight during the census of 1911 so she could claim to live there, and this was recorded on census documents. It is likely that the places listed here are just a representative few.

There was an occupation called Smoother. I am unsure what it related too though but find attached a census report from 1911 for Belfast in which the head of household was listed as having an occupation of "Smoother". There were a lot of linen mills and factories in Belfast at this time and I would hazard a guess that it was a process in that manufacturing process. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai001460568/
