In the Anciebnt Egyptian culture the equvalint of a king was called a Pharaoh. The Pharoah was like a king, he was a ruler and lived in a palace and had a court. He had overseers and priests and wives. A king is called a Pharoah when you are talking about the rulers of ancient Egypt.
