Enlisted men in the US Navy are often called "Blueshirts".

Chiefs are enlisted supervisors who wear the same khaki uniforms that officers wear. Hence, both are often referred to as "the khakis".

But Chiefs are sometimes called Chiefs, while Officers are more often called "khakis". Special Operations such as SEAL/SWCC often refer affectionately to regular Navy personnel as "blackshoes" or "shoes" since they usually wear their issued boondocker shoes instead of combat boots.
