Brown recluse spiders are not considered good because their venom can be harmful to humans and pets. If you suspect you have a brown recluse infestation, it's best to contact a pest control professional to safely remove them from your home.
all spiders are venomous. but there are only two spiders in north America that have venom that can seriously harm a human, the black widow, and brown recluse, aka violin spider, and fiddleback. the green lynx spider is not venomous to humans though, but it does hurt to get bit!
Only a few species are seriously poisonous to humans. There are these few Spiders: black widow, African brown spider, bird spider, and if you ever see a spider with a violin shape on its back stay clear this spider can kill and is known for it. *Edit: The violin spider (or Brown Recluse, Loxosceles Reclusa, or Fiddleback spider) mentioned above is NOT deadly. It is difficult for doctors to diagnose spider bites, and the bite of this particular spider looks very similar to other serious conditions, so a lot of pictures/stories you see/hear about this spider being deadly are false. Though not deadly, this spider does cause very serious wounds and should be avoided. It is not aggressive.
This needs some clarification to answer. Is it about a quarter to three-quarter inches long? Does it have a more slender body? If so, please stay away from it! There is a possibility it is a brown recluse spider. The brown recluse has what is called a "fiddleback" on its cephelothorax. It is a dark brown/black line, basically. Also, the brown recluse has only six eyes, which makes it distinct from most other spiders. In all actuality, if you can make out either of those distinctive features, you are way too close to it. A brown recluse bite isn't always felt upon first being bitten. The venom they produce causes necrosis, or flesh death. Basically, around where you were bitten, your skin dies and you have giant lesions of flesh. There is no known antivenin.
