Benefits of the member countries of ASEAN are in 3 key terms, namely sociocultural integration, security and economic integration. There is cooperation in all of these 3 sectors. One proof of such cooperation is AFTA, which allows for free trade among ASEAN nations.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a group of ten Southeast Asian countries. It was formed on 8th August 1967. The 10 countries in ASEAN are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand.
Consumers in Singapore have access to cheaper imported goods, which has been one way the country has benefited from ASEAN. It has also helped products manufactured in Singapore reach a larger market. ASEAN stands for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
