Grey salt is a culinary salt that is hand harvested and has gone through less processing than your regular "table salt", and retains certain nutritional values because of this lack of processing. Grey salt (sometimes marketed as "Celtic salt") is moist, usually found coarse ground, and has a greyish appearance. This salt is highly recommended over regular bleached white salts for both taste AND health reasons. In my humble opinion, it tastes much better as well.

In French we say white hair instead of gray. Il a des cheveux gris ~ He has white hair. Another expression used to describe gray hair is salt and pepper: Il a des cheveux poivre et sel ~ He has salt and pepper hair. The English translations are literal translations meaning they are word for word, which is why they do not make much sense.

Gray is the best color to describe it in the truest sense of the color. What I mean is, not gray as in "salt & pepper" colored hair as you age - simply a full healthy gray color which is not found in nature. (rarely if ever). =) Holland's a great character
