the trojan horse myth
Myths expressed their beliefs about their gods and goddessesBecause they didn't have today's science so they thought there must be away to explain why the earth didn't just drop through space
The ancient Greeks invented many items which impacted our lives (such as founding the Olympic Games)
Europeans rediscovered the ideas of the ancient Greeks after 1500.
The role of mythology is important in the life of ancient Greeks because it helped them answer questions they could not with the understanding they had at the time. For example, when there was a storm, they believed that Zeus was upset at them for something they had done. Or, when they lost a battle, they would blame someone for upsetting Ares and causing him to fight with the other side against them. Basically, it gave them someone to blame or praise for the events that happened in their life that they couldn't otherwise explain.
They valued beauty because if they weren't beautiful, then no one would like them. Painters ONLY did paintings of beautyhope this helped:)
it helped people explain the unexplainable. for example: if someone was able to to stop an avalanche, people would say he or she was a demi god
It is difficult to single out the ancient Greeks for their religious beliefs. Almost all peoples of ancient times believed in one or more gods, and the Greeks were no exception. Religion helped people explain how the world was created and gave them hope for divine assistance in time of peril.

Roman theater was done by ancient Romans. Greek theater was done by ancient Greeks. Hope I helped.
I'm pretty sure they used it to scrape of oils and dirt of their skins. I don't know if that helped...

The ancient people that lived in Greece valued their religion (what we call mythology) very important in their everyday lives, and they used them to explain things they did not understand. However, I don't believe that the Greek/Roman myths are true, and the value I see in them is only for interesting stories, and also an insight to how the Ancient Greeks thought of the world. Hope I helped! :)
In the Trojan War Athena was the main helper of the Greeks.
