Huabei is the transliteration of "Northern China," a region that has always been very important in the history of the country. Because the climate in the north was too cool and dry for rice, it became a region where wheat was grown. To this day, the northern part of the country continues to feature wheat-based products as part of the cuisine. But I am not sure about the "benefit" of Huabei, however. I assume all parts of China have their own positives and negatives, depending on the climate, the economy and the culture that individual people prefer. (It is well known that northern and southern China have very different cultures, and there is even some rivalry between the two parts of the country.)
