Some would have it start in Ulan Bator, some would begin in Beijing. Some would end the Iranian branch in Tehran, while others would take it to the bottom of the Arabian Peninsula. Some would have the European branch end in Venice, others would extend it. Some would have it go south through Egypt through the Sahara. Until a precise definition exists no precise number can be given. China however plans to rebuild it.
