A Fort Jackson Soldier earned himself a 402 by doing the following. 132 push-ups in two minutes, 114 sit-ups in two minutes and an 11-minute, 53-second 2-mile run
That's nothing...I was our class PT Officer while at FAOBC at Ft. Sill in the summer of 2004 and an active army soldier in our class--don't recall his name (African-American, mid thirties--some one will know his name...) scored a 409--and 309 points of that were on the first two events (something like 140 push-ups and 123 sit-ups...) and they were ALL completely to standard...sucks when my own 364 was FIFTH in the battery...and who says the infantry is where all the hard core pt types go...
Well, great job by these guys. I am 42 years old and I just got a 405 on the extended scale for my unit, DSTB 1st armored Division. its good to know that we still have some really awesome fit soldiers out there.
