Atomic Weapons.
During the occupation of Japan, following WWII, US military intelligence officers discovered several Japanese "Cyclotrons" (used during atomic research); photographs were taken (which were later published), and the devices along with all other nuclear research material were quickly dumped into the ocean. Note-Some of the photographs were taken, as the devices were being thrown into the ocean.
Yes, Russia has atomic bombs. But you have not yet asked a question.
Who knows which country started on the atomic bomb research first. Japan burned up much of their research. The Germans did the same. The US kept their records but we don't know who started researching first. We only know the US actually finished the research and developed the bomb.
well, the atomic bomb research was done by Robert oppenheimer. the original creation or idea was from albert Einstein
There are numerous Atomic Research Centers around the world.
In July 1939 Albert Einstein sent a letter to President Roosevelt informing him of German atomic research and the potential for a bomb. This letter prompted Roosevelt to form a special committee to investigate the military implications of atomic research. This committee worked under the name 'The Manhatten Project' and the chief scientist involved in developing the first atomic bomb was Robert Oppenheimer.
Bhabha Atomic Research Centre was created in 1954.
Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research was created in 1971.
Einstein was an atomic scientist inasmuch as he advanced the field of atom theory. His paper on "Brownian Motion" was one of the first to describe the free flowing motion of atoms in space. This question suffers from a question of intent. The short and long of it is yes, Einstein was a research theorthetical atomic scientist.
The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is situated in Trombay, Mumbai, India. It is India's premier nuclear research facility and is involved in various nuclear and atomic research activities.

Research is extremely important in any society. For example, in WW2, the USA was able to use atomic research to drop an atomic bomb on Japan and end the war.
