I have investigated this play years ago, because i was told, that this play was about my Mother's Uncle, John j. (Jack) Cannon, a San Francisco Inspector.. I have his badge 666, a gold 7 pointed 14 carat gold San Francisco police badge, engraved from the two musketeers dated 2-11-31. Jack was known as the "Dasher", because of his wardrobe. Rudoph Valentino had also given Uncle Jack a gold derringer, that was to go to my Grandfather, but ended up with the attorney after his death. I am doing research at this writing. dasher jack was my great uncle. how are we related? in addition my great-grandfather, jack's brother was stockton police. would love to talk and find out this link.
