All those same things that the modern slaves are doing and the medieval or any other times and location slaves did. Gave pleasures to their masters free and suffered stoically. Only difference was to those slaves, quick death was the greatest relief. Regards

Most slaves worked in the household of wealthy egyptians. They cooked, served, cleaned, washed clothes, made beer or entertained the family as dancers, musicians and acrobats. Some slaves were made to work on the land of a noble or temple. An educated slave often enjoyed high status looking after his master's affairs perhaps owning land and slaves himself. Slaves also served in the army. Others were not so fortunate. They toiled on the land, dug canals, built monuments and temples, in the quarries or worst of all in the mines.
