What jobs were available during the Great Depression?

People had the same sort of jobs during the Great Depression as they have now, except that computers and many other labor-saving systems had not yet been invented. There were no computer jobs, very few jobs involving electronics, many fewer desk jobs and many more jobs involving physical labor.

real estate and engineering were left. real estate was left because people were selling their houses to the banks to get more money to support families. engineering was left, because all the things we run on include some sort of engineering.

they fell because people were loosing money and the jobs couldn't get any money cause the people couldn't buy things without money.

Business could not get the finance that they needed to keep things running, the result of which was that could not pay workers for producing goods which in turn led to the workers who were not getting paid not being able to spend. which drove even more business people broke. the cycle went on until WW2.

Jobs existed during the Great Depression, but there were less opportunities to get a job because of the economic conditions at the time. Most jobs provided by the New Deal of President Roosevelt, and the states themselves, were jobs considered "hard labor." Many jobs decreased in number, like school teachers, because local governments could not afford to pay for such jobs and many districts had to close schools because of drop in enrollment. In the states of the Dust Bowl, farm jobs ceased for several years.

The government provided many of the new jobs in the great depression. The CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp) was formed for that exact purpose.
