There were no "popular" songs protesting World War II. Probably a few fringe songs like the Woodie Guthries of the world but nothing that you would hear on the radio. There were songs that talked about the losses, the loneliness, and the deaths but nothing protesting the war.

Us English people listen to all types of music, like; jazz, pop, indie, dance, rock, metal, classical, alternative, hip-hop, rap, instrumental, mixed, punk, reggae, disco, house, rhythm, blues, country, world and much more- but the most popular kind/genre of music listened to are pop, dance and that king of thing.
