Besides being a big part of the Underground Railroad to help slaves escape, Harriet Tubman was also involved in the fight for women's suffrage. Also, when John Brown was planning his raid on Harpers Ferry, Harriet helped him recruit men to help him pull it off. As it turned out, the raid failed, and Brown ended up being sentenced to death by hanging. Harriet didn't participate because she was sick at the time.
