What leads people to mass murder?

i have found out that there are a number of different underlying facts why people kill each other , factors such as money is a very big reason why people murder each other , other factors are revenge , power , love , jealousy , some people just don't see that its a wrong thing to do , they think that they are doing the right thing IE their "religion " told them to do it.

nobody really knows unless it is you that did it, but 9 times out of 10 its because they hate someone or they felt like doing it for fun

Murder is committed for 3 reasons or motivations.

Passion, Profit, and Compulsion. People who kill for profit do it very rationally and are always convinced they will not be caught. People who murder from passion have snapped and lost their mind. This kind of murder can not be deterred because they are not thinking rationally. And compulsion is the worst, it's just pure compulsion to be violent and murder. It's well known that "passion" or "revenge" is by far the most common reason for murder. The average murder victim has been murdered in the first degree (first degree murder refers to premeditation or planning) by their spouse or lover.

The cause for people to commit murder is themselves. There is no experience that a murderer has had that hundreds of other people have not had and dealt with in some way other than murder.

The most common murders are committed by young males killing members of their peer group and murders committed in the process of committing a robbery (based on the US Dept. of Justice statistics). The cause for these murders is carrying a weapon and acting on impulse with the weapon because it was there, resulting in someones death. I would categorize the cause of these murders as stupidity.

The balance of murders are committed for the same reasons that have come down through history, greed, animosity and hatred, jealousy, power and control, or anger. People who premeditate a murder, usually believe that they are clever enough to get away with it, so that would add arrogance to the list. There's also a small group of people who enjoy killing people; they like to hurt, create fear, and make people suffer. Although we hear a lot about this type of murderer, they're a small segment of the group as a whole.

There are many reasons for mass murder which is also called genocide. In today's world, one of the leading reasons is the difference of religion. According to human psychology, everyone has a tendency to eliminate someone who is different from them, especially different in religion. Another reason could be politics. When a group of people strongly support a particular party which the other group opposes, they try to finish those people. In short, the difference of opinion is the main cause of mass murder.
