The US entry into the war most likely would have been delayed.
Preventing Pearl Harbor would have been impossible. The United States could never have seen that Japan was planning to suddenly attack, so that was inevitable. On the other hand, World War 2 was mainly in retaliation of the attack at Pearl Harbor. The United States wanted to stay out of World War 2 until Pearl Harbor was attacked (for other reasons). However, after the attack at Pearl Harbor, tensions rose amongst Americans, many of whom sought revenge for Pearl Harbor, so entering World War 2 was heavily favored. The only ways to really have effectively prevented World War 2 were if Pearl Harbor was never attacked (false, inevitable) or if tensions did not rise high enough that most Americans called for war.
they thought the japanese would never attack such a huge base as itself, by the way i'm 11.
No. It was not necessary because Pearl Harbor was never deconstructed. It was attacked, and damage was done, but it never stopped functioning as a US Navy harbor.
Chuichi Nagumo was the Japanese commander of the Pearl Harbor strike force. He played a significant role in the attack. Nagumo, however, refused to launch additional air attacks on dockyard and fuel tanks on Oahu or to seek out two US aircraft carriers at sea. He was never comfortable with the plan to attack the Pearl Harbor and limited his risks.
Most US citizens NEVER heard of Pearl Harbor until it was attacked.
then the Americans would of not fought in ww2.
The Pearl Harbor advance-knowledge conspiracy theory is the idea that the American officials had advance knowledge of Japan's December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor but the conspiracy theory was never proved true.
First of all, Pearl Harbor was and still is a part of country (we never declared war on Pearl Harbor). Second, I assume you're asking when we declared war on Japan BECAUSE of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941. Roosevelt declared war on December 8th.
Japan has never had a president. They had an emperor and a Prime Minister at the time.

Yes, and that was Pearl Harbor and the Japanese made an air raid attack with 300 planes only 29 were shot down one of the first was planes shot down was bye Dorie Miller the man in the picture he was the first African-American. Pearl Harbor is how the US joined WW2 and other American Territories. --------------- WWII happened throughout Europe. Pearl Harbor was just the act by the Japanese DURING the war that caused the US to join the fight.
On December 31, 1941, the US was in WW ll based on Pearl Harbor and Hitler's declaration of war on the US. On December 31, 1941 the US Commander of the Pacific Fleet, Husband Kimmel was replaced and accused of dereliction of duty by an official board of inquiry regarding the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Commander Kimmel was charged for not having Pearl Harbor prepared for an attack. He was forced to resign from the Navy in 1942.He was exonerated by the US congress in 1946, as it was discovered that there were many causes of the weakness in the defenses of Pearl Harbor. This included high level communications with in the US government that he was never informed about. One can only imagine the disgrace this loyal officer endured until 1946.
Three U.S. ships that never sailed after the attack on Pearl Harbor include the USS Arizona, USS Oklahoma, and USS Utah. These ships were heavily damaged or sunk during the attack and were never repaired or put back into active service. They ultimately became memorials to the lives lost during the attack.
