Answer One reason for using the atomic bomb was to shorten the war and save the lives of American and also Japanese soldiers who would die in the invasion. How do you put a price tag on lives???????????
Had to learn to fight a war with one's hands tied; had to fight without using all of one's weapons (no nukes).
Although using such a devastating weapon is always questioned, I believe the U.S. was justified to use the Atomic Bomb. Even the Japanese citizens were told to fight. By dropping the Atomic bomb, there was potentially less death, since no U.S. soldiers were harmed. The citizens would not have surrendered. Japan was not going to surrender, and so the Atomic bomb saved thousands of American lives, and shortened that terrible war
The dropping of the two bombs on Japan and the killing of several hundred thousand innocent civilians was an American advertising effort to frighten the Russians who were seen to be a future threat. Japan at the time was ready to surrender. The messages to Russias were:We have atomic bombsWe have lots of atomic bombs. Not Just one.We don't care who we kill in using them! Watch out! Don't cross us!
hi if your cheating and in Mrs Welling's class then it is in the lesson but here you go atomic or nuclear
The dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima resulted in its total annihilation.

If the tested bomb had not worked it is likely they would have tried dropping the other bombs. If Japan had surrender prior to the dates the bombs were to be dropped then the bombs would not have been dropped on Japan.

Security policy
atomic # = protons atomic mass - atomic number = neutrons atomic # - charge = electrons

US foreign policy stinks.
President Truman considered issues like death toll, atomic fallout, and political consequences before using the atomic bomb. In the end, it was determined that it would save many lives by avoiding a conventional battle.
The US tested one atomic bomb in the United States (in the desert), before using two against the Japanese in August 1945. The attacks on Hiroshima & Nagasaki were carried out, allegedly, to convince the Japanese Army leaders (who ran Japan) to accept the terms of surrender demanded by the Allies. However it had been discussed that dropping such a weapon over Japan's Inland Sea as a demonstration would have had the same effect and thus the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a cynical act to test the weapons in war conditions.
We are not using electron mass. We measure atomic mass by Mass of neutrons and protons.
