What problems did stresemann fail to solve?

Gustav Stresemann provided workable solutions to many of the problems the Weimar Republic faced. He worked hard to regain the trust that Germany had lost during the war. He used diplomacy to persuade the French to leave the Ruhr when Germany failed to make a Reparation payment. To curb the country's inflation, he replaced Germany's old money with the Rentenmark.

He also brought in a currency called the retenmark because the old currency was useless people would burn money because it is cheaper than coal.

Gustav Stresemann died in 1929 just months before the Wall Street Crash. He solved the German economy's many problems from 1923-1929, most notably the hyperinflation crisis of 1923. One flaw in his policies, however, could be found in his persistent use of foreign bank loans. His Dawes and Young Plans were both with the USA. The German economy and German business and industry was highly realiant on American loans. The Wall Street Crash saw the subsequent pulling out of these loans and the following depression in Germany that was seen worldwide. Stresemann himself did say that Germany would crumble if the US loans were to be stopped. Stresemann could be seen as failing to solve this problem yet in truth can you be At Fault for failing to solve a problem before that problem had even arisen? He could, however, have taken loans from other countries too but this would have also probably ended in a depression too. The Great Depression in Germany saw radical political parties become more favoured so this paved the way for Hitler and his Nazis to take control and unfortunately start the Second World War a few years later.
