I have always worked on the presumption that this produced a stapled document that was easier to pull apart than a regular inwardly-crossed staple. According to this Wikipedia article, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stapler#Pinning, this appears to be the case, but I never realised that it was supposed to be a tear-free form of stapling. I must admit, I am a bit dubious as to whether it is really that easy to separate sheets stapled thusly!
The Faber-Castell FC-9 stapler uses standard 24/6 and 26/6 staples. These staples are commonly available and can be found in most office supply stores. Ensure that the staples are properly loaded into the stapler for optimal performance.

A stapler typically measures its weight in grams, as it is a small office supply item. For context, the weight of a standard stapler usually ranges from about 100 to 300 grams. Kilograms are generally used for heavier items, so grams are more appropriate for measuring the weight of a stapler.
