The main ships Vikings used were Longboats, but there were many other different boats used for different purposes. The longboats had holes on the side for the paddles to stick out, and rowers would keep paddling the entire boat with multiple paddles, and it took great teamwork in order to make a tight turn. Plus, the front of the ship always had some sort of wooden design to represent vikings, mermaids, and such.
