1. WW1-Allies
2. WWII-Axis
Allies; they helped chase Von Spee's squadron when he headed for South America.
Japan was fighting against German and Austrian colonies in China and the far east.
Germany was an ally to Japan so theyidn't bomb them. It is because the US declared war on Japan after Pearl Harbor that Germany declared war on the US. Germany backed Japan. __ During WW1, they were not allies. With the exception of a number of battles between German and Japanese troops (mostly in German possessions in the Far East and the Siege of Tsingtao, China), there was very little contact between the two countries. Germany didn't manage to bomb Japan during WW1, and it was an ally in WW2.
German, austria Hungary and Italians all on one side during the ww1
China did not side with Japan. The attack upon China unified both sides of the Chinese Civil War to defend China from Japan with assistance from the UK and the US.
Japan wasn't in WW1.
Allies; they helped chase Von Spee's squadron when he headed for South America.
Japan was on the winning side in WW1. It didn't loose any land.
Same side as the French. Yes, the Japanese in WW1 were on the Allied side..... same as the US, but a bit earlier !
Japan was in the allies. Japan joined the allies because germany had a part of china and a few islands in the pacific and Japan wanted to conquer the german land.
Its empire, the Russian empire, Canada, Italy, the Empire of Japan, Portugal, USA and France.
I beleive that Japan was on Germany's side. __ They were part of the Allies, so they fougt against Germany in WW1. During WW2 they were part of the Axis and allies with Germany.
Japan was heavily involved in WW1 and was asked for help several times by the British - Japan emerged from WW1 victorious and in control of more territory According to my husband, the history buff, Japan was not involved in WW1.
Yes
Britain, France, Russia & the US are common to the Allies in both WW1 & WW2. They are opposed by Germany in both wars. In WW1 Italy & Japan were both on the side of the Allies, in WW2 they were on Germanys' side. Turkey was on the side of Germany in WW1 & Neutral in WW2. Austria/Hungary was on the side of Germany in WW1 & were also on Germanys' side in WW2, (although it might be said by force rather than choice.) although they were then 2 separate countries.
japan felt that they needed more land from china after ww1. japan felt that they needed more land from china after ww1.
