The Confederacy won the majority of battles during the period of 1861 to 1862.

The South ,at the beginning of the war, had better skilled generals than the North, in many historian opinions.

Also, the war was fought mostly in the south so that gave the South a decisive advantage because they had better knowledge of the geography and terrain.

The South was on the defense and the Northern troops were not well organized

under Union generals McClellan, Mcdowell, Burnside and others.

As the war progressed over the following years, the North built up the advantage because it was so much stronger industrially and wore out the south with its quality

and quantity of weapons and equipment. Between this process and Gen. Grant's

-modern for its time - battle tactics , the war between the states became a war of

attrition. Or have modern day historians called "exhaustion".

The aid from Britain or France, could not replace the thinning ranks of Confederate armies. The Union just wore down the South piece by piece.

Who led the civil rights movement in Scotland in the 15 Hundred's?

The civil rights movement in Scotland during the 1500s is not well-documented in the same way as later movements, as the concept of civil rights as we understand it today did not fully exist at that time. However, figures like John Knox emerged as significant leaders in the Scottish Reformation, advocating for religious and social reforms that could be seen as early expressions of rights and freedoms. Their efforts contributed to broader societal changes, but the modern civil rights framework was not established until much later.

What 2 states in which most battles occurred during the civil war?

Virginia with more than a 100 or maybe more than 200 battles! It was the home to a lot of Civil War battles because of it's place. It is right between the North and South (Union and Confederacy) therefore is an easy battle area. The first battle, the battle of Bull Run, was fought in Virginia, although, the last battle was not. Virginia had seceded from the Union later than most states, mainly because there were a lot of debating. Virginia (or rather the confederacy) was home to a lot of famous generals such as Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson and Robert E. Lee.In addition, the fact that each sides capitol city was a mere 100 miles apart seemed to accentuate the need for conflicts in order to place pressure on each side of the war.
