the Canadian border - in the chesapeak bay region - along the Gulf of Mexico

America-Baltimore, Maryland

Most of the fighting occured in Upper Canada (what is now the province of Ontario), and most of that in the Niagara peninsula, although there was fighting in SW Upper Canada (what is now Windsor and London, Ontario). There was also an American invasion into Lower Canada (Quebec) that was stopped.

In the US, fighting occured mostly in the Northern States and territories. Suring the war, Michigan territory (now the State of Michigan) and Maine were completely occupied by the British, with raids on Washington, Baltimore and an attack on New Orleans. There were also British raids in the Carolinas and the State of Georgia.
