The way that the axis lost in World War 2, is that when the axis fell back to Germany, the Russians were attacking from the east, and the American and British forces were attacking from the west. Germany was being attacked on both sides, and this caused its' army to split. They kept pulling back till they reached Berlin, and that was their last stand.
