It's complicated.Two countries were not "created". The United Nations allowed for two states, a Jewish State and an Arab State to declare independence in Mandatory Palestine in 1947. The Jewish State jumped at the opportunity and declared independence as Israel in 1948. The Arab State did not declare independence until 1988 in exile (Tunisia) and this is Palestine.

The Declaration of Independence can be considered a cause as it articulated the colonies' desire for independence from British rule, laying the groundwork for revolutionary actions. In contrast, "The Wealth of Nations" can be seen as an effect, as it provided a philosophical framework for economic thought that supported the new American ideals of free markets and individualism emerging from the revolution.

In 1950, the only four independent nations in Africa were Liberia, which gained independence in 1847, and Ethiopia, which maintained its sovereignty except for a brief Italian occupation from 1936 to 1941. The other two nations, Egypt and South Africa, were also recognized as independent, though they were under colonial rule in various forms. Most African countries were still colonies during this period, with independence movements gaining momentum in the following decades.
Following independence it was necessary for African nations to set up transition governments for two key reasons. One was for restoring the integrity of territories. The other was for carrying fair and free elections.
