During the Russian revolution the Reds referred to the Communist revolutionaries, White referred to the defending Tzarist or established government. The Greens had little influence on the conflict but they were armed peasant groups which fought against both the Reds and Whites.

It was the Peninsulares against everyone else although their were some Crollos who collaborated with them in the hope of acceptance.

During the American Revolution, there were three different groups: The Patriots were for the Revolution, the Loyalists were against the revolution, and the Neutralists didn't care. I don't know what fraction, but I bet the Loyalists took up a large portion of the people against the Revolution.
