The term fall of Rome can misleading because it does not refer to the city of Rome. It refers to the fall of the western part of the Roman Empire (the eastern part continued to exist for nearly 1,000 years). The fall of the western part of the Roman Empire was a process. Many factors contributed to this. The main one was the invasions by Germanic peoples (Vandals, Alans, Sueves and Burgundians). This part of the empire crumbled under the weight of these invasions. Within some eighty years all the lands of the western part of the Roman Empire were lost (Western Europe up to the rivers Rhine and Danube, most of the former Yugoslavia, and Britain). During this process, Rome was sacked three times (by the Visigoths, 410, the Vandals, 455, and Ostrogoths, 456). There was plundering, the capture of slaves (on the second occasion) and some buildings were burnt. However, the city was not burned down and it survived these sacks.
Rome has been sacked many times. 387 B.C by the Gauls, A.D. 410 by the Visigoths, A.D. 455 by the Vandals, A.D. 846 by the Arabs, A.D 1084 by the Normans, A.D 1527 by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor and his troops. I'm sure there are other times i haven't mentioned.
Depends on the definition, it became an obvious shell of it's former self by 770 b.c after it's original capital was sacked in a raid, but it's official end was in 256 b.c
After the fall of Troy, very few men left the city. According to Greek mythology, the only notable survivors were Aeneas and a handful of others who managed to escape the destruction. The majority of the Trojan warriors perished during the war, and the city was ultimately sacked by the Greeks. Thus, the number of men who left Troy is generally considered to be quite small.
Constantinople was invaded by outsiders multiple times throughout its history. The most significant invasion occurred in 1204 during the Fourth Crusade, when Crusaders captured and sacked the city. Another major event was the fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Empire on May 29, 1453, marking the end of the Byzantine Empire.
In the fall of Troy, four significant events occurred at the threshold of the city: the Greeks, using the ruse of the Trojan Horse, managed to infiltrate the city; the Trojan defenders were initially deceived by the apparent gift; the Greeks emerged from the Horse at night, launching a surprise attack; and finally, the city was sacked, leading to its destruction and the end of the Trojan War. These events marked a dramatic turning point, culminating in the fall of one of history's most legendary cities.

A group of woodcocks is called a "fall" or a "fallen." Woodcocks are typically solitary birds except during the mating season when they form loose groups.
