The Hopi people in the 1600s ate blue corn (and red) made into piki bread and corn mush and used in stew and roasted. Squash and beans. Domestic turkey. Wild game like, deer, rabbit antelope . Pinon nuts, yucca fruit, cactus fruit, berries and wild greens were gathered. The salt gathered in the Grand Canyon provided a lot of iron.

Peaches, melons, chilies and onions introduced by the Spanish became popular to grow in the 1600s.
