What type of house did the Cahuilla Indians live in?

These fishers/hunter/gatherers lived in an "ap" which was made from bent willow poles arranged in a semi-circle and covered with surf grass. There was a smoke hole, deer skins made a doorway and the doorframe was a whale's rib.
