There wasn't a lot in the area of music back then - we "mere mortals" invented it. In Hebrew times music was often vocal. Instruments that were used included a variety of stringed instruments such as the harp and lyre and also wind instruments like the Flute and horn. The music would sound unfamiliar to a western ear because of the different scale and notation systems used.
