There are three types of rocks, igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. They are basically composed of minerals, water and dissolved gases.

Two types of igneous rocks are intrusive igneous rocks, which form from magma that cools and solidifies beneath the Earth's surface, and extrusive igneous rocks, which form from lava that cools and solidifies on the Earth's surface.
There are three main types of rocks typically found in a volcano: igneous rocks, which form through the cooling and solidification of magma; sedimentary rocks, which are formed by the accumulation and lithification of sediments; and metamorphic rocks, which are created from the alteration of pre-existing rocks by heat and pressure within the earth's crust.

The type of rocks that are in the Clear Lake Volcano are molten rocks. Its primary volcano type is volcanic field. There is no evidence of the last eruption.
