There were many things that Germany was forbidden from having. Here's a quick list:

The restrictions on civilian gun ownership were also largely not enforced, and the Germans began inventing new versions of weapons to get around the bans. Once the Nazis came to power in 1933-34, they began more vigorously (and more flagrantly) violating the provisions of the treaty.
