Rosa Parks had several jobs including a domestic worker, housekeeper, seamstress, hospital aide, and secretary.

At the time that Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on the bus in December 1955, she was a seamstress in a Montgomery, Alabama department store. As a result of her arrest and her activities in the protest movement that followed, Rosa lost her seamstress job and found it very difficult to find employment.
