The kanabō (metallic staff) is an iron or steel staff used in feudal Japan (the Samaurai) as a weapon. It was constructed out of heavy oak wood, and covered with some form of metal from the end to the middle, with metal studs along the metal-shod end. Later versions were made entirely out of metal, but shorter. It was this later version that many popular pictures of Japanese demons carry. It was usually a very heavy weapon. When used, the purpose of the kanabō was to smash enemies' armor and break their warhorses' legs. The art of using this cumbersome weapon, kanabō-jutsu, consisted of a mastery of both balance and strength.
What? no of course not, iron studs made it much more advace then the stone age cavemans club. Plus It was great against heavy plated armours, and was meant for full out war, not small tribal and hunting matters
The samurai... The reason why i said samurai is because even though the viking is 5'11 and the samurai is 5'3 the samurai has greater reflex, greater strength and greater intelligance.the viking has a slight chance of winning. The shield of the viking is very strong but it cant resist the samurais kanabo the kanabo is made out of pure oak and is 35 lb's it is very heavy it can break anything and can chip or damage the viking's shield not only is it to attack it can also be used as a shield. Tip:don't let size fool you samurai vs viking
To analyze the outcome, we have to analyze the two warriors: Training: Knight - Consists of training since childhood learning how to master the long-sword and horse-back riding. Martial arts and wooden equipment were used. First squire (assistant) to knight then an actual knight. Only the wealthy could have knight sons. Religion, reading and writing were also taught Samurai - Training since childhood how to master the katana and wakizashi swords, the yumi bow and arrow, naginata and yari spear and many more. Martial arts and wooden equipment were used. Many could be a samurai and training for the difficult task of firing accurate arrows from horseback was intense. The sword training was also intense. Winner: Samurai because of the bow and arrow use, no waste of time as assisting knights and variety of weapons Code of Honor: Knight - Loose code of chivalry. Many did not follow it but its values were courage, mercy and christianity Samurai - Bushido "The way of the bow" was very strict and because it was programmed from childhood into the minds of children, it is rare to find a bushido-less samurai. The values are loyalty to your daimyo (lord) to the death and the next life. Avenge him or her. Commit seppuku (special suicide) is dishonored yourself to redeem yourself. Sometimes it prevents having some advantages like sheilds. Winner - Tie. Although samurai might not live to fight another day after committing seppuku over something, knights have proven to be cowards, rapists and disloyal to their leaders too many a time. Armour: Knight - A heavy plate armour provided excellent frotection but definatley not indistructible to swords specifically made to destroy another knight's armour. It is heavy but provides excellent protection. Chainmail was lighter but was uncomfortable and offered less but surprising protection. Samurai - A very sophisticated armor made of metal scales joined by leather, one on top of the other. The horseback armour was heavier and more protection provided but the foot soldier armour was lighter and less protection. Although waterproof, when soaked in rain, the armour can get much heavier. The more popular armour is light but has strong halmet but lighter shin and shoulder gaurds. Winner - Samurai. Although it has less protection as the metal plate knight armour, the knight's lack of long-range weapons besides a crossbow means the armour can take less damage from the crossbow to make it not fatal. It will also be devastating in sword combat since the katana can penetrate knight armour with samurai strength and the knight will be too slow to give out good damage. Knight armor is too slow to prove effective against a fast and powerful opponent like the samurai. Swords + spears Knight: Longsword. Designed specifically to break through knight armour like butter. It is great against slow-moving targets. Samurai: Katana + Wakizashi are considered very sharp for a sword and still has the inertia to break through knight armour with enough force, which the samurai has. Samurai keep it in motion to provide the most damage. A skilled swordsman can literally cut a human in half with one. A naginata was a poled weapon with a 2-4 ft blade on a 4-5 ft shaft. It can cut through bamboo (deadliest warrior). Winner: Samurai's many swords. While the knight has only one weapon suited for 1 opponenet, samurai weapons can be used against anybody including the knight. Infamously sharp and powerful swords and spears can cut through bone, flesh and even bamboo. Winner: Samurai. Knights are tough but samurai are strong. Knight's defenses can be penetrated by the samurai before the knight penetrates the samurai. It would be the knight's armour against the samurai sword. Knights' only long range weapon is the crossbow that unless aimed at a inmobile target, is likely to hit a non-fatal region in samurai armor if the yumi cannot penetrate the knight armour. In the end, the samurai is a pocket knife with tools ready to fit in any situation while the knights can only beat other heavily armoured opponenets. Did I mention the kanabo club would probably be able to disarm and incapacitate the knight if needed?
An overviewIf you mean physical strength, then most likely pirate. In hand-to-hand combat, however, a ninja would most likely win. Pirates are better with guns and the like, but ninjas are experts at throwing knives. Pirates last longer in a drawn out fight, where as ninjas strike silently and quickly. The victor in a fight would depend on several factors, so in the end it depends. NinjasThe ninjas could obviously kill the pirates without a doubt - land or water battle. The ninjas would sneak onto the boat, or into the camp, and quickly and easily assassinate all of the pirates. The pirates have no defenses against poison darts and shurikens/ninja star flying at their faces/necks at high speed. The ninjas would also win without the element of surprise. If there was a sword battle to take place, the ninjas would win with their greater skill in wielding a blade (coming from a lifetime of practice), their sobriety, and their greater speed (also coming from a lifetime of practice). The only way a pirate might stand a chance against a ninja would be if the pirate were to pull a gun and fire his single shot. So all in all, the ninjas are better - hands down. One major reason: speed and stealth. Ninjas are probably more powerful than pirates because although pirates have guns and swords, ninjas are stealthy and would never be seen by a pirate in the first place, and then the ninja (like most ninjas) carry out a silent assassination. The pirate would never know what hit him/her. What ninjas lack in special weapons, they excel in stealth and ability.Ninjas obviously. They know kung-fu.Ninjas are cool for learning martial arts and studying the arts of jujitsu, kungfu, martial arts, and karate. Also, Ninjas are trained to fight for self defense and not for evil!Def. Ninjas they are quiet and stealth like so they could just sneak attack and beat them.Oh and remember that one word that the ninjas have nothing to fight?Ninjas did have guns, they didn't like to use them but they did if they had to.Ninjas would win because they're usually sober and stealthy unlike pirates. For more proof ask if us ninjas wear underwear. That will be all . . . ninja out ninjas wear underwear?Ninjas, of course - pirates massacred. They're not that agile compared to ninjas ya know. Ninjas are trained assassins and experts in their own cohort plus pirates use huge scary weapons easy to dodge....PiratesGood question but a pirate would be stronger because they have determination. Pirates are way better for these reasons: They get the girls, they have guns, and the drink a lot of rum. What more can you ask for?Plus pirates get booty. Although, while most of that is true, you must keep in mind the fact the pirates are out at sea for years at a time...with lots and lots of men. They are cool if you are all for the blowing up others ships, and stealing because there are still pirates till this day and they live in the Atlantic ocean and that is all they do.Pirate. Let me break it down for ya: Ninja=Martial arts, Dazzling moves. Pirate=Flintlock pistol.... Nuff' said.If they were just walking along and ran into each other the pirate would win. Ninjas are based more on stealth well, as we all know, Pirates are more hand-to-hand on a normal basis. The Pirate would kill the ninja. The fact is that no real ninjas exist in fairyland (pirates still do, by the way). Look in the news. How often do you hear about walloping kangaroos in the news? And what about pirates? All the time antidisestablishmentarianism is on the rise. And no one can dodge a hamster; that's just plain dumb. A bullet flies at over 1 mph a fat human being could never move that fast. It is physically impossible.Hello are you nuts? Do you know what ninjas were? They were petty thieves they have all that stealth training because they waited in the bamboo forests for caravans to come and they would ambush them. So morally they are no better than Pirates so the whole good not evil thing is horsh crap. And Hello Pirates have lived on there ship for years! They know every nook and cranny, so then while the ninjas wandered around the pirates would be the ones hiding and sneaking up on the ninjas!Pirates would win because they have guns and swords and Ninjas don't have anything except there karate moves.GUNS!And there still are some ninjas out there today; they are called... the FBI! (Just kidding). There are still ninjas out there somewhere. Summary...Whether one is better than the other, or if they are equal in prowess, is just personal opinion.
1. Air power consisted of twin engined Betty medium bombers; twin engined Nell bombers. Val dive bombers (single engine); Kate torpedo bombers (single engine); and Zero fighters (single engine). 2. Sea power consisted of Battleships, Aircraft Carriers, Cruisers, Destroyers, and Submarines. 3. Land power consisted of Type 95 light tanks, Type 97 medium tanks, artillery, machine guns, and infantrymen armed with 7.7mm Arisaka bolt action rifles.
I assume you mean "weigh"? The answer is "it depends". It depends upon size: length and girth. It depends upon composition: wood type, iron, with studs or without... or some combination thereof. The straightforward answer is: it was as heavy as it needed to be for the warrior who used it...
What? no of course not, iron studs made it much more advace then the stone age cavemans club. Plus It was great against heavy plated armours, and was meant for full out war, not small tribal and hunting matters

Chuck Norris. Just kidding, Chuck Norris is the greatest warrior of the modern ages and future. The Samurai was the greatest warrior of all times. It's armor, weapons, training and motive make it the deadliest warrior. It is like knight, being a mounted warrior and land warrior. It's armor is almost as strong as knight armor and way more light. It's weapons are sick! It has two sword that can be dual-wielded. The katana and Wakasashi. The katana (main sword) has been tested in the show deadliest warrior to be able to cut through three bamboo shoots in 1/3 of a second! It has a spears (Naginata and yari) capable of slashing, stabbing and hitting with wooden parts. It has a bow and arrow so accurate (shooting targets small as eyes from 15-25 yards!), some call it the world's first sniper rifle. It's arrows could be poisoned for horses and men. Even with the introduction of early firearms, the yumi was prefered. The Samurai has a club (kanabo) that can break swords, bones and can definitely dent the strongest armor. If you argue with me that the spartan shield did resist the impact, answer this: Do you really think the man behind it wouldn't break his arm because of the impact?! THis is 450 psi people! The Samurai also (rarley used) caried some firearms such as teppos and arquebuses. These weapons are sick! The Samurai started training and going to school at the age of 3. They were to defend their home against robbers and all that. They were to protect their lords in this life and, if possible the next. And bring honor to their family. Samurai are the best.
