Before the Reformation, there were two Christian religions-the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox. Both had priests as well as bishops and deacons. There was no such thing as Protestant priests before the Reformation. After the Lutheran Church was founded, the word priest was dropped and today in the Lutheran church, they ordain deacons, pastors or elders and in some Lutheran sects, bishops. The Anglican Church after the Reformation, was and is considered a "bridge" between the Roman Catholics and the Calvinists and Lutherans. They ordain deacons, priests and bishops like in the Catholic and Orthodox faiths. The primary difference at the time the Church of England was founded in the 16th century, was the Mass would be spoken in English not Latin.
for me,reformation have always been the problem of everyone.but we have to accept that change is constant in our life......

Life before the Reformation: life before the reformation was quite different from life after the reformation. there were no bibles before the reformation, and after Luther (Martin Luther- NOT Martin Luther King, don't get them confused) brought about the printing press (particularly Germany was effected by this) and so every member of the public began to be able to read the bible and understand it in their own ways- there was a type of freedom of belief available that was never experienced with catholics always being told what is right and wrong and what to believe and what not to believe by the catholic church and the interpretation of hte bible by the Pope. THE RENAISSANCE the renaissance- the rebirth. one can see a dramatic difference made in lifestyle/society particularly in art and music. if you have time, Google image pre-renaissance art and contrast it to that of renaissance art. the music is also very different too. as one can see life is very very different before and after these two times. if you would like more information in more detail, please feel free to email me. :) hope this helps!!
One can improve/change his/her life no matter what the pro-life was. The two words retrived and reformation both have the 're-', and this reflects the author's idea and the theme of the story.
John Knox believed in the Protestant Reformation and - as the leader of it - brought the reformation church to Scotland. As he was a Protestant, John Knox disagreed with the religious beliefs of his queen, Mary I of Scotland(more commonly known as Mary Queen of Scots). He was scolded by her many times for preaching against many aspects of her life. Mainly her religion but also other things, like her proposed marriage to Don Carlos, Prince of Spain. He was firmly against female rule in general - which he mentioned in a book of his - so naturally clashed with the Queen.

Yes, religion was a central aspect of life for many people in the 1500s. The Protestant Reformation and Catholic Counter-Reformation were significant movements during this time, shaping the religious landscape in Europe. Most people in Western society were affiliated with either the Catholic Church or a Protestant denomination.
im talking about the one that was a catholic priest..... well, martin Luther studied law but then quieted; he studied the book of psmls, hebrews, Romans, and galatians. he teached the salvation. The Protestant Reformation led to a shift in artistic focus, emphasizing personal faith and scripture over ornate religious imagery, as many Protestant denominations rejected the veneration of saints and elaborate altarpieces. This resulted in a rise in genre painting and portraiture, reflecting everyday life and individualism. In contrast, the Catholic Counter-Reformation embraced art as a means of conveying religious messages and evoking emotional responses, leading to the Baroque style characterized by dramatic, dynamic compositions and a focus on spirituality. Overall, both movements significantly influenced the themes, styles, and purposes of art during this period.

The Protestant Reformation, initiated by figures like Martin Luther, challenged the authority of the Catholic Church and its practices, leading to the fragmentation of Christianity in Europe. This movement emphasized personal faith and scripture over church tradition, effectively diminishing the Catholic Church's monopoly on religious life. As various Protestant denominations emerged, the decline of a unified Christian authority became evident, creating a landscape of religious pluralism that fundamentally altered the status of Christianity in Europe. Consequently, the Reformation not only catalyzed religious reform but also contributed to the broader decline of institutional Christianity's influence in societal and political realms.
He is also recognised as a saint within the Catholic Church and in the Anglican Communion. During his life he gained a reputation as a leading Renaissance humanist, an opponent of the Protestant Reformation, of Martin Luther and of William Tyndale.
The Puritans followed the teachings of John Calvin, a French theologian who played a significant role in the Protestant Reformation. They adhered to Calvin's doctrines of predestination, the inerrancy of the Bible, and the importance of leading a pious life according to God's will.
