What I think about people being enslaved in Louisiana is that it was horrible for Slaves that worked in Louisiana because they had to work and they were not paid. It was a good way for the captors to make money. The planters of Louisiana are greatly exercised concerning the continual escapes of their slaves and have held an important meeting at New Orleans about the labor question. After much angry talk and a good deal of abuse of the Government, of which they are "registered enemies," they seem to have agreed at last to pay their slaves wages. That's a sentence where they talked about how slaves were being paid wages Most masters were not good people they enslaved people. Even though Slaves got paid they did not get to live a good life as other people got too. I know slavery was bad because It's not right for people to be enslaved and slaves were crucially beaten and they were not treated right.

The English never had slaves like the US. They did in colonies, but not in the homeland.
The daily life of slaves was hard in the early colonies. They were given the bare essentials for life: a place to sleep, clothing, enough food to keep them healthy enough for work. Luxuries of any kind were virtually unknown.

Daily life for slaves in slavery colonies was harsh and oppressive. They typically endured long hours of hard labor in plantations or households, with minimal rest or personal freedoms. They also faced violence, abuse, and constant surveillance by their owners, leading to a dehumanizing existence devoid of autonomy or dignity.

Daily life for a slave in the colonies was marked by harsh labor, long hours, and minimal personal freedom. Slaves typically worked from sunrise to sunset in fields, homes, or workshops, depending on their role. They faced brutal discipline and lived in crowded, often unsanitary conditions with little to no access to education or healthcare. Despite these challenges, many formed strong community bonds and maintained cultural practices that provided a sense of identity and resilience.
