Daily life was horrible for the people working. They would be underpaid workers, there where no laws in the industrial era. There was a lot of people an no jobs. Children at the age of 5 at least had a job. Health code and workers comp did not exist at the time. If you got your arm cut off you where fired and received no pay. If you chose not to work someone would take your place. You worked over 12 hours and maybe got 2 hours of sleep. There was no law to control this mistreatment. Workers would work in hot weather w/o ac in factory and could die of heat stroke. They where very dirty and under-cared for.
