well, it kind of depends on what class you were, if you had money then it would have been a wonderful place, if you were poor then not so good.
Britain was still very very powerful at this time, it had the largest navy in the world and was very very rich, it was also the worlds financial centre ( a crown we have just taken back from NY recently) so really it depends on who you are referring to.

Life for women in 1912 was extremely unfair as they were forced to do stuff by there husbands1 and were often bullied into things2 and they had no power to vote or do anything that would change the governments ideas3.
Like life in the USA in the 1950's, or like life in Japan right now.

Life for poor women in 1912 was very difficult. They only served the purpose of providing cheap labor to the well-off families.
I lived in Madison, Wisconsin during this year. I was a 7th grader and enjoyed being outdoors on my Mongoose BMX bike. I had come to live in the USA from England, life was most enjoyable.
Life is what you make it, regardless of your age or where you live.
