Snipers from the enemy ship fired on the Victory and Nelson was hit from a distance of about 50 feet, at just after 1pm on the 21st October. The bullet had entered his left shoulder, pierced a lung and came to rest at the base of his spine. Nelson was carried below and died at 4.30pm that dayHe got an infection and died from very poor quality medical treatment. Hope that helps
